MEDIA ADVISORY: Press Credentialing For National Prayer Service

WASHINGTON, DC – Washington National Cathedral will host an interfaith service as part of the inaugural weekend. Details regarding service participants will be released at a later date. The following details are for planning purposes only:

When:      January 21, 2017, 10:00 a.m.

Credentials

Media are invited to attend, but due to limited space, outlets must submit requests for credentials to prayerservice@westendstrategy.com by Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. ET. Media who arrive without credentials will not be granted access to the Cathedral or the west lawn. 

Please send the number of staff who will need to be credentialed, if you plan to videotape, equipment or power needs, any requests for live truck parking, and whether you will need space outside on the Cathedral’s west lawn or inside on the South Balcony. It is very likely that video coverage will be pooled with unilateral access granted to only a limited number of outlets.

Approved media will receive confirmation and credentialing instructions by Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. ET.

Public Access

Attendance for the National Prayer Service is by invitation only and tickets are required. 

Media Set-up

Credentialed media set-up will begin at 3:30 a.m on Saturday, January 21. All cameras will have to be pre-set and media ready to exit the building by 4:00 a.m. for Secret Service to do a security sweep.

Doors will re-open to media at 6:30 a.m.
