WASHINGTON (Jan. 31, 2017) — The Very Rev. Randy Hollerith, dean of Washington National Cathedral, today joined the chorus of religious voices opposing President Trump’s recent executive action on refugees and a travel ban from seven Muslim-majority nations.

“Trump’s actions are a challenge to the conscience of all Americans and people of goodwill,” Dean Hollerith wrote for Religion News Service. “This deeply troubling action is grounded in paranoia and fear of the stranger, and threatens to fracture families and unfairly penalize millions of innocent people. It is as un-American as it is un-Christian.”
