Beatrice actively engages in musicological research around nationalism and cultural expression, musical engagement between the East and West, and the intersection between music and spirituality. Her first book, “The Sounds of Aurora Australis: A History of Australia’s Musical Identity,” was released in March of 2022 under Sussex Academic Press. Supported by Florida International University’s Office of Global Learning Student Fellowship, her second title— “Exoticism and the Formation of Western Music à travers la mer”—is due for release in fall of 2023 under Sussex Academic Press.
She strives to unite research and performance within her work, curating academically informed, multidisciplinary recitals that are both engaging and informative for a wide demographic. Beatrice graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a Minor in Sacred Music from Florida International University in Miami.
