Rebecca Ehren

Rebecca Ehren discovered the organ while singing in the choir at Church of Our Saviour on Park Avenue and her fascination with the instrument led her to study with Dr. Raymond Nagem and hold positions at Grace Church (NYC), St. Leonard’s Anglican Church, and the University Church in Yale. As the Cathedral’s Organ Scholar, she plays for services and works with the choristers and professional choir, and assists in all aspects of the music program.

Originally from Ottawa, Canada, Rebecca is currently in her second year of the Master of Music program at Yale University, studying with Dr. Martin Jean and Jeffrey Brillhart. She holds a bachelors degree in piano from Indiana University and is an Associate of the Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto).

In addition to playing keyboard instruments, Rebecca regularly sings in professional ensembles and won a 2021 Grammy with the Clarion Choir for their recording of Ethyl Symth’s “The Prison.”

Beyond performing, Rebecca has served as Chair of the Board of Directors for C4: The Choral Composer Conductor Collective and holds a second undergraduate degree from Indiana University in cognitive science and mathematics/economics.
