The Rev. Dr. Mark S. Anschutz is a third-generation Episcopal priest and a native of Washington, D.C. He holds degrees from Drury College, Berkeley Divinity School at Yale, The Andover-Newton Theological Seminary and an honorary doctorate from the University of the South.

His long career in the Episcopal Church included four times as a deputy to General Convention, and has pastored churches in Worcester, Mass. (St. Luke’s); Alexandria, Va. (Christ Church);  New York City (St. James’ Madison Avenue) and Dallas (St. Michael and All Angels).

He has served as a trustee and visitor to a number of church related schools and seminaries, and has been deeply involved in several initiatives to aid the Episcopal Church in raising-up young and gifted persons for ordained ministry and in ministry to those suffering from addiction.

He has been married to Margaret Crook Anschutz for 47 years. He has been deeply involved in the The Society of Saint John the Evangelist and the Friends of Bass River in Massachusetts. Currently he coaches a number of clergy scattered across the country and serves as the Priest In Charge at Saint Andrew’s By The Sea in Hyannis Port, Mass.
