“We join the world in mourning the loss and praying for the spirit of former First Lady Nancy Reagan and offering our condolences to her family and friends. A devoted spouse to her beloved ‘Ronnie’ she became passionate advocate for Alzheimer’s research and embryonic stem cell research following his diagnosis. Nancy Reagan braved and emerged from the triumphs and trials of her life with strength and grace, becoming one of the most influential public figures of the twentieth century. Nancy left her mark on American public life, and it is a legacy that will not soon be forgotten.”
